Project Description
The project branded “The Gateway”, will comprise of 458 bed spaces with additional retail, restaurant, cafe, or office space on the ground floor. The eight-storey building will accommodate 77 student apartments all with Bathroom Pods supplied by Walker Modular.
Plans for new swanky student accommodation situated conveniently across from McDonald’s on Tritton Road, were recently approved by the Lincoln City Council. The University of Lincoln will be in control of the accommodation and have full authority over granting students tenancy as they predict a hefty growth in applications in the near future.
The building will incorporate a commercial frontage as well as providing a high standard of student accommodation. The development also incorporates energy reduction and efficiency measures, which are strategies designed to ensure that the building’s carbon emissions rate meets not only the Government’s new building targets, but also the more significant energy reduction objectives that came into force in April 2014.
