Project Description
Walker Modular will be involved with these major plans for a new halls of residence at Oxford Brookes University and will supply Bathroom Pods for this development. The development will involve the construction of 885 student rooms on land that used to house the Cowley Barracks. The site on James Wolfe Road is next to the existing university student residence of Paul Kent Hall. The new blocks would be between three and five storeys in height, with several existing buildings on the site being demolished first to make way for them. Of the 885 rooms, 46 would be 'fully accessible', making them available to people of limited mobility.
