Project Description
Originally built in the late 1950’s, the former College of Technology building was one of the most recognised structures in Leeds. Now, it’s looking to be replaced with a Student Accommodation monolith which will support the city’s many students unable to gain access to the underprovided services of purpose built Student Accommodation. Sporting 20 storeys and circa 465 bed spaces, this skyscraper will feature Bathroom Pods all designed and made by Walker Modular. Services will include both 24 hour security and CCTV, as well as commercial space on the ground floor available for ease of use to students and public use for everyone else. This new build will flood the site with both practically and history, including elegant soundwave patterns running across the windows as an homage to the penning of the classic Pink Floyd song ‘See Emily play’, which was brought into fruition at this very location. All in all, this is sure to be an elegant development, both desperately needed and welcomed to the area.
